it was a surprising mix of both, Bob! thanks for asking!
i don't remember waking up, but i do remember falling over while coughing. don't worry, though- the lung came up eventually.
anywho, after shaving my legs and basically reclaiming my status as a female, i went on an errands run with my mother. it was thrilling. honestly, i don't know what i'd do if there hadn't been a good song on the radio. "ooh, do you mind if i turn this up a bit? i love this song!" i probably would've said that if "Let's Talk About Me" by that one cowboy dude had come on. thankfully, it didn't.
anywho, we got home after that brief jaunt into town, only to turn right back around and go out for dinner and a movie. dinner was good, and the movie... well, it killed two hours, which was all i could've hoped for.
the current hour count until i set foot back in Ashland? an even 40. oh, the bittersweetness of it all. sweet because it's less than 50, and bitter because it's more than 0.
hmm... i had something to say when i hit the "Create Post" button, i really did... but now, i don't remember what it was, and all of this babbling hasn't jogged my mind... hrmmm.... nope, tossing the "r" into "hmmm" didn't help either.
i miss Kyle. i haven't seen him in... 4 days? wow, that's depressing. no wonder i need a hug so bad. 4 days of sitting around here and being sick, with the occasional venture into the outside world. yes, i admit it, i am sick. but just a bit, and i should be better by tomorrow. this cough is going to be around for awhile, i think, but the rest of it should be gone in the morning.
yup, still can't remember what i was going to say. therefore, i believe that i am going to go downstairs, find something tasty to snack on, and hopefully i will have recalled whatever it is that's currently evading me... i'll even leave this post up, and just put a few breaks in, to signify time passage.
no dice on the food front, but i did pick up my cell phone. its cold little metal body is currently chilling my right bum. more than you needed to hear? well, then you'll also be delighted to know that while i was downstairs, my sister's dog stepped on my foot, and there is now a smudged mark on my left sock. the asymmetry of it all is driving me insane! or at least off of the computer. have a good next few days, everybody, and until next time.... uh... toast your second drink of the day to me. Hurrah!
there was one scene in the movie that made me think of him... i miss him.

Reese's and Mucus... that was my lunch
haha, that moment of foulness was brought to you by me. a reminder to not get sick then eat lots and lots of chocolate and peanut butter. because frankly, it's a little bit funny.... this feeling inside... i'm not one that can easily hide.... -hack, hack-
i'm medicated. a lot. that's a warning, an excuse, and a plea for salvation all in one. somebody get me out of this house! they're making me take cough syrup. and there's talk of a doctor. i don't need a doctor! i just need a nap. which is actually what i think i'll go do right now. nap. i'm not sure whether or not i'm going to post this... eh, i will, mostly to show how incredibly out of it i reall am right now.
pizza sounds nice. i'm going to go scavenge. cheers!
call. or do not. there is no "try".

150... score...
i wish i had something exciting here to celebrate this (not-so) momentous occasion, but no dice. i'm currently tired, cold, hungry, and a bit cranky. oh, and i sound like a trucker. delicious, eh? yeah, i didn't think so either... until i discovered i can sing along with Michael Franti on all the low notes!! yeah!! i wonder if the local Peace Choir is looking for any new baritones... because i sound like a male trucker. it was so classic, i walked into Borders earlier, and had just gotten my hair cut, so i looked normal and whatknot... this woman walked up and offered to help me, and the look on her face when i asked her (in a very gravelly voice quite reminiscent of Tom Waits' newest album) "i'm looking for the Tortilla Curtain, do you have it?"... oh man, her face was priceless. later, as she was showing me to where the book should've been, she turned and said to me "i hope that's not as bad as it sounds." i thought i was going to pop! (laughing leads to coughing, and this lady would've probably had a panic attack if she'd heard my cough).
anywho, yeah, life is droning along here at the speed of my rickety old Volvo (aka, not very fast). there's a party tonight i've RSVP'd to, but i'm not sure if i'll go, or how long i'll stay, because if i really do sound as bad as the Borders woman thought, then maybe i should be staying home and writing my will.
on that festive and joyous note, i believe that i shall go find something to eat. have a lovely day, and remember... it could be worse- you could be a 6-yr-old sex slave living in Cambodia. Cheers!
i'm not going to the doctor.

happy new year... and all that other crap
well, hello, all! it's been a wee bit since i last posted, i think... anywho, a quick summation of what's gone down:
day after christmas: family + Kyle went to California to visit more family. good times.
day before new year's eve: Kyle + i stayed up all night to hit low tide in cushman at 6.20 am, which meant we had to leave my house around 4. we left at 4.30, and were alright.
new year's day: floodwaters kept me at Kyle's house for another day. i'm not complaining.
alright, now for today: i got home around 10 am (thank goodness for low tide going in cycles that occur later each day :D), and went back to bed. woke up around 4.30. i think my sleep cycle may be fucked for the next few days. oh, well. sleeping is nice.
really not much to say. California was fun, Florence was fun, Kyle is fun, and having a bit of a cough is not fun. haha... yeah. anywho, hope everyone is well, and i'll see you all soon, with any luck! (except those people in Florida... probably won't be seeing you any time soon, sorry).

alright, here you go...
"our main prop is a sink strainer, it's going to rock so hard!"
haha... that was for a musical theatre camp. we were doing the song "Stuff in the Sink", and needed... a sink strainer. i think i have that performance on tape somewheres. i can't believe i used the phrase "it's going to rock so hard!" in earnest. that's horrifying.
i want to go back now. how many days until they open the dorms again?
